Ink

Beginning projects focus on the elements of space, line, and shape.  We use black and white to demonstrate the mastering of these concepts and give the pieces a graphic look.

Colored Pencil

Much of Art 1 is focused on the basics of drawing.  We create many projects and sketchbook assignments using Prismacolor colred pencils.  These pencils allow syudents to practice blending and mixing colors and achieve a realistic look.

Watercolor

We explore a variety of media including watercolor.  When using watercolor we experiement with watercolor techniques like sgraffito and resist.  Watercolor is a fun and easy way to learn to mix colors and experiment with paint.

Clay

Clay allows students to learn the elements of form and texture.  Our clay creations are made using the techniques of pinching, coil, and slab making.  Students love clay!
